Shirazette Tinnin – drums

at Latvian Radio Studio 1 
 
Drummer, educator, and author was born and raised in USA, North Carolina. Her earlier influences gospel musical would eventually expand into jazz, soul, rock and African diaspora music. 
A graduate of Appalachian State University. Currently, Shirazette resides in New York playing with Women of the World Ensemble, Gabriel Algeria Afro Peruvian Sextet, Allan Harris Group, Camille Thurman, and many others in addition to leading her own group, "Shirazette and Sonic Jazz Ensemble Experiment". 
 
 
 
 
 

Yamandu Costa – guitar

Brazilian guitarist and composer. Yamandu main instrument is a legendary Brazilian seven-string guitar. Artist has begun learning to play guitar together with his father, Algacir Costa, ever since seven years old.

Talented singer, composer, arranger, choir director, Dayme, is a skillful, charismatic presence in Cuban music.
 
At the beginning of her career she experimented with a series of instruments – violin, trumpet, piano and guitar, until she realized her main instrument was her own voice. Debut album “Nueva Era” (2015) was aired by each and every American radio station, and got into TOP 50 best albums with an interesting note: "it changes the view on Cuban music".  
 
 
 
 
Ruthie Foster – guitar, vocal

Legendary American folk and blues artists’ – Ruthie Foster – three albums „The Truth According to Ruthie Foster”, „Let It Burn” and „Promise of a Brand New Day” were Grammy nominated as “The Best Blues Album”.
Ruthie has got six Blues Music Awards, and Austin Music Award in the category “The Best Women Vocal”.
 
 
 
Simone Zanchini - accordion

Simone Zanchini is one of the most exciting and innovative artists on the international scene. His research of the sound of accordion moves the boundaries of contemporary music, acoustic and electric sound experimentation, mixing tradition and modern jazz influences. 
Aside from musical performances and reasearch, Zanchini leads also accordion's workshops and collective impro.
 
 
 

John Beasley – piano

Grammy nominated composer, pianists and music producer. John was born in USA, Louisiana. He was working together with such jazz music legends as Miles Davis, Steely Dan, James Brown, Dianne Reeves, etc. 
After his dad gifted him jazz pianist Bobby Timmons recording, Beasley decided to become a jazz musician, so shortly after he has become a leader of a jazz group. In 2013 his long-term dream became true, as he has own MONK’estra. 
 
 
 
 
 
Magda Giannikou - accordion, vocal

Pianist, accordionist, singer and lyrics author - Magda Giannikou is also a music producer. Graduated from a prestigious Berkley Music College.
After studies moved to New York, where she formed Banda Magda group. Her music can be described as a charming French lyrics together with a Latin fervor being excellently presented by the artist.
