BILL LAURANCE TRIO
Five-time Grammy winner, pianist and composer Bill Laurance has made a remarkable journey through a wide variety of bands and styles. He has also been a classical music pianist, co-founded the powerful fusion band Snarky Puppy and played with the trip-hop trio Morcheeba, as well as with jazz greats, such as guitarist Lionel Loueke.

He has studied the relationships between jazz, funk and drum’n’bass stylistics with classical music and has honed the melodic nature of this approach, as well as the mastery of improvisation, creating his own unique style of artistic expression. Laurance’s creative drive still seems unstoppable. In the past three years, he has released five albums: the solo album Affinity (2022), the duet albums Where You Wish You Were (2023) and Keeping Company (2024) with his Snarky Puppy colleague, American multi-instrumentalist Michael League, as well as Bill Laurance & The Untold Orchestra Live at EFG Londond Jazz Festival 2021 (2022) and Bloom (2024) with the progressive British string orchestra The Untold Orchestra.
