The Rīgas Ritmi Festival has received the quality label of the European Festival Association

Evaluating the artistic program, organizational quality and significance in the international circuit, the European Festival Association has again awarded the Rīgas Ritmi Festival with the prestigious EFFE Label quality mark.

EFFE or Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe is a program of the European Festival Association based in Brussels, supported by the European Commission and the European Parliament. The awarding of the EFFE Label is evaluated by an international group of experts, assessing various festival quality standards. EFFE Label guarantees the inclusion of the festival in the European festival network FestivalFinder.eu, which regularly provides information to fans of good music and mass media about events in almost all European countries.

The 24th international improvisation, jazz and global music festival Rīgas Ritmi 2024 will take place from July 3 to 6. The main concert venue will be Riga Cathedral Garden, where the biggest concerts will be held on July 4 and 5. The stages of the festival will also be Riga Jazz Lounge in the hotel Radisson Blu Latvija, Fenikss Lounge in the hotel Aston Hotel Riga and Jersika Stage in the Art Center Noass, while the open master classes of the artists of the festival will take place in the Latvian Radio Studio 1.

On July 4, the London-based Italian jazz guitarist Antonio Forcione will perform in the Riga Cathedral Garden with his trio, followed by the Italian composer, arranger, pianist and bandoneonist Daniele di Bonaventura, conducting Latvian chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga and performing the program Tango Suite.

On July 5, one of the leading Cuban jazz pianists of the new generation, Jorge Luis Pacheco, with his quartet and the American soul, funk and hip-hop artist José James with his quartet of young jazz stars and Grammy Award nominees will delight the festival audience.

Latvia will be represented at the festival by Matīss Žilinskis Trio, Jūlija Zakirova Quartet, Elizabeta Lāce Trio, Ella Zīriņa Trio, Third Stream Quartet, Vadim Dmitrijev Quintet, Reinis Jaunais with Erna Daugaviete, Klāvs Ābols Quintet and other artists.

Biļešu paradīze service has started selling tickets for the Rīgas Ritmi 2024 festival concerts in the Riga Cathedral Garden on July 4 and 5.
